As a Junior Machine Learning Engineer, your responsibilities will be as follows:

• Work with data scientists and other web developers to develop, test, and deploy machine learning models
• Write clean and efficient code for machine learning tasks, such as data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation
• Participate in the entire machine learning workflow, from data collection and preparation to model deployment and maintenance
• Continuously monitor and improve model performance through testing and experimentation
• Stay up-to-date with the latest machine learning techniques and technologies
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions accordingly
• Understand the business domain and be able to translate the data into a solution that solves the problem
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the design and development of new features

Skills and Prerequisites

• Required to have a degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
• 1-2 years experience in machine learning and knowledge of programming languages such as Python and machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• 1 -2 years experience with data preprocessing and cleaning, feature engineering, model selection and evaluation.
• Familiarity with a variety of machine learning techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts such as probability, statistics, and linear algebra
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, such as version control, code review, and testing
• Familiarity with cloud-based services such as AWS, GCP, Azure for deploying models
• Good communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find solutions to difficult challenges.
• Must be a student or work permit holder or Resident within Canada

Some good to haves

• Familiarity with object-detection model
• Working knowledge of Flask, FAST APIs
• Some DevOps experience will be an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $67,422.82-$144,365.98 per year
