We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional Leasing Agent to assist us with the marketing and leasing of assigned rental portfolios. This individual will have a passion for sales and marketing and will be accountable to maximize revenue and minimize vacancies. Top applicants are proficient multitaskers, are organized, and have strong people skills.
To apply, you must be a member of TRREB and licensed by RECO or have recently completed the Real Estate Salesperson Program at Humber College or OREA.
Leasing Agent Responsibilities:
- Recording and updating details of prospective tenants and leads into computer database swiftly.
- Advertising available properties and conducting property tours as part of marketing activities.
- Screening prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements.
- Completing lease applications and assisting with the verification of application information.
- Inspecting properties when tenants take occupation and vacate.
- Liaising with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns.
- Maintaining and storing documentation effectively.
- Accepting rent payments, security deposits, and other applicable fees.
Leasing Agent Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Leasing Agent or Licenced Realtor.
- Must be in good standing with the TRREB, or an inactive agent who can immediately move his/her license
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people skills.
- Available to work extended hours.
