Our site in Concord, Ontario has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor/Route Manager for our Toronto, ON hauling district. We are looking for a SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous, and proactive team player who can make a difference in his/her team and community. This role will initially cover the early morning shift from 3:00AM – 12:00PM.

Position Summary:

The Operations/Route Supervisor is responsible for managing all Drivers in their business unit. The Operations/Route Supervisor ensures that collections operations are running safely by performing driver observations and leading monthly safety meetings. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee day to day operations of multiple routes.
• Performs operational audits of collections routes and route observations.
• Ensure that Drivers complete daily safety and maintenance checks on VCR’s.
• Coordinates with Dispatch to ensure deliveries, exchanges and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
• Plans and monitors employee schedules and route scheduling, including regular communication throughout the day until all routes are completed.
• Performance Management of employees through progressive discipline and/or grievance process as needed.
• Conducts accident investigations including scene management, first accident report, and final analysis with root cause and preventative measures.
• Maintains adherence to company safety policies and DOT regulations.

Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of managing in a people-driven environment
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and MOE guidelines
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be detail-oriented, highly accountable and able to prioritize tasks
• Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 90 days
