The Opportunity

As a Parts Manager, you are responsible for running a knowledgeable parts team and organized parts department. You are relied upon as an expert of powersports parts and accessories, and your main goal is to ensure our parts personnel are equipped to provide the highest level of customer service to our shoppers. You are accountable for the speed, accuracy, and quality of service that the parts department provides to both in-store shoppers and customers that call the store, and for identifying and executing process improvements within the parts department that enhance the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Minimize wait times at the parts counter and on the parts phone line by allocating staff and assisting where required
  • Provide reoccurring training and testing to new and existing staff
  • Coach team members on performance by delivering feedback and training on best practices
  • Oversee all price changes and signage in the parts department
  • Identify and execute operational efficiencies within the parts department's processes and practices
  • Plan, prepare and carry out store sales, promotions and events
  • Foster an engaging work environment for team members and customers
  • Build positive team relations, demonstrate ethical behavior, and maintain all safety guidelines
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including shortlisting, pre-screening and interviewing
  • Complete the appropriate opening and closing procedures for the store

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail leadership experience
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of powersports is required
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to complete assigned work and projects on time within a fast, ever-changing environment
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in computer use

Additional Information

  • This position reports to the Store Manager
  • This position requires team members to work varying hours, seasonal overtime, and shifts during days, evenings, and weekends
  • This position requires team members to stand for extended periods, climb a ladder and to move merchandise (weighing up to 30 pounds) throughout the store
  • Steel toe, green patch work boots are required
