Our plant manufactures the high strength engineered wood product Timberstrand® in a 24/7 operations, non-union, manufacturing environment. Kenora Timberstrand Plant - The Kenora Plant is highly automated with multiple PLC, Motion Control, SCADA and HMI systems in addition to medium and low voltage power distribution and motor control.

This position reports to the Electrical and Instrument Department Leader and will be responsible for:

• Troubleshooting programming and maintenance of Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC controllers and network that include Industrial Motion Control Systems, GE iFIX HMIs, Common Industrial Protocol, utilizing the following technologies: EtherNet/IP; ControlNet; DeviceNet.
• Maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation devices, electrical power distribution and monitoring devices, VFD drives and motor control.
• Improving plant reliability by developing control methodologies and implementing new technologies.
• Utilizing a SAP CMMS for managing work orders, preventative maintenance activities, and task plans.
• An interest in obtaining a trade certification as an Industrial Electrician

• A diploma in Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist, Instrumentation Engineering
• Technician/Technologist, Computer Control Engineering Technician/Technologist, or
• Electronics Engineering Technician/Technologist.
• 3 – 5 Years in an industrial environment would be an asset, but not required.
• Provincial or Interprovincial certification as an electrician would be an asset, but not
• required.
• Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office.
