Quality Control Supervisor Functions

• Perform technical management of unionized personnel performing inspection and quality control (QC).
• Oversee standardization and maintenance of a standard for inspection processes that meets internal, customer and regulatory requirements
• Manage training for reports to ensure personnel have the skills and knowledge to perform their assigned scopes of work.
• Support allocation of competent QC resources to accommodate changes to production schedules or disruption of planned resourcing.
• Develop training as needed to supplement skills and competencies of quality control personnel.
• Ensure competencies are developed and managed so that single points of failure are avoided.
• Act as liaison between QC and production or Quality Engineering to settle differences and enforce required standards

Qualifications:

• Candidate should have strong leadership skills and experience in a supervisory role. Supervision in a union and regulatory environment are assets.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
• The ability to work within a team and perform effective conflict resolution are required.
• Degree/Diploma in manufacturing, aerospace, quality or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience are required.
• Proficiency with computer software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets is required.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and judgement and ability to work with teams to develop solutions is necessary.

• Ability to undergo security clearance process for export controls: CGP, ITAR.

• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
