J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of
Reliability Engineer with the Truro Sawmill.
Qualifications:
- Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Certification in Mechanical Engineering
- Years of Experience Required:1-5 years of related experience
- The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is comfortable leading change and enjoys working in a team environment
- Strong communication, organization and time management skills and must be up for a challenge
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement equipment reliability program for the site
- Improve on current site preventative maintenance program
- Implement site equipment inspection process using DMSI tool
- Supervise and manage performance of reliability tech
- Improve on current site lube program
- Supervise and manage performance of oiler
- Implement root cause analysis program
- Develop and implement vibration analysis program
- Utilize equipment productivity data to determine maintenance area of focus
- Identify training needs and develop plans to improve mechanical skills for our skilled trades workforce
- Review weekly allocation of all Maintenance/Facilities assets in order to ensure full utilization
- Monitor weekly schedule performance and respond to schedule gaps
- Support new equipment purchasing decisions from a PM planning and reliability perspective
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan the weekly and monthly maintenance schedule
- Ensure equipment bill of materials are current and up to date in PM system
- Participate and lead initiatives for equipment and site improvement projects
