Restaurant Manager Job at MADO Canada
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant, including hiring and training staff, ensuring quality customer service, and maintaining the overall profitability of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall restaurant operations, including sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and maintenance of all supplies, equipment, and ingredients
- Create and maintain work schedules for staff, ensuring adequate and cost-effective coverage at all times
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure menu items are prepared to high standards and in a timely manner
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase restaurant visibility and attract new customers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient restaurant environment, ensuring compliance with all sanitation and safety standards
- Ensure equipment maintenance is carried out as per the required schedule.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Multitasking and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations pertaining to the restaurant industry in Toronto and Ontario
- Proficiency in restaurant software, such as POS systems and inventory management tools is an asset
Education and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- A Food Handler certificate is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
This is a full-time position that requires flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. We offer a competitive salary and provide a respectful workplace.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
