Route Driver / Sales Representative

We are a local, family owned and operated fresh bakery, with bakery operations in Sussex, NB, and Moncton, NB, with distribution throughout the Maritimes and the state of Maine. We are looking for a Direct-Store Sales Representative/Route Driver for the Yarmouth area of NS who will ensure excellent customer service while being responsible to deliver fresh product to stores.

Responsibilities:

• Direct store sales and delivery to major grocery chains, mass merchandising and retail outlets in your assigned territory.
• Merchandising and rotating stock of Mrs. Dunster’s and partner products.
• Maintaining route distribution schedules.
• Loading and unloading of baked goods.
• Ensuring all required reports, invoices and documents are processed properly.
• Providing a high-level customer service to customers.
• Proper maintenance scheduling for truck
• Responsible for completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Completion of driver log books
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
• Adhered to the DOT rules and regulations of the road
• Comfortable in driving a box truck more than 18’ in length

Qualifications:

• Driver’s license, with minimum 3 years driving box-truck experience along with a clean driving abstract.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Direct-store sales or merchandising experience would be great.
• Hard working and dedicated to customer service.
• Punctual.
• Energetic self-starter.
• Professional and friendly.
• Neat and clean in appearance.

Salary: $36,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
