Candesa Inc. is an importer and distributor of specialty products to the Canadian retail and food service sector. This position develops sales in all assigned accounts to their maximum potential while obtaining new business to achieve sales objectives.

Sales Representative Job Summary:

The Sales Representative contributes to the success of the company by:

  • Opening new accounts
  • Providing exceptional customer service in the accounts to increase revenue.

This position is managed from our Toronto office for : Hamilton Area, Burlington, St-Catherines, Niagara and Welland.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Making daily route visits, with specific sales objectives and pre-determined action plans to all assigned and targeted accounts
  • Meeting and exceeding sales dollars, profit percentage, gross profit dollars and achieve budget numbers
  • Conducting prospecting and follow-ups to secure profitable new business opportunities within assigned territory
  • Lead follow-up, new business development, lead generation, building customer relationships, consulting extensively to assess customer’s needs, follow-up throughout the sales and service cycles, and delivering high quality results
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Manager to build territory
  • Ensure that customer concerns are addressed and resolved in a positive and friendly manner
  • Ensuring all customers payments/accounts are kept within agreed terms. Resolving causes of any unpaid invoices. Collection from customers. Review statements for any outstanding credits and/or invoices and review with customer of a routine basis
  • Participating in annual sales forecasting with the Regional Sales Manager. Developing and implementing a yearly sales plan including territory analysis, strategies and action plans
  • Performing other related duties as may be assigned by the Regional Sales Manager.

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience considered an asset
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Solid verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated to achieve and a exceed sales objectives
  • Exceptionally self - disciplined and organized
  • Demonstrated solid influential skills
  • Competency in MS group of office applications
  • Self-starter, demonstrates initiative & ambition, team player, hard worker
  • Valid Driver’s License and a car
  • Spanish speaking is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
