Senior Accountant Job at Islandsand Holdings Incorporated
Islandsand Holdings Inc. is a locally owned multi-unit franchisee that has been operating in Prince Edward Island for over 25 years and has expanded into Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. We are searching for an individual who is looking for an accounting position within a rapidly growing company.
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Sr. Accountant to join our team in our Charlottetown office for a full-time permanent position.
Job Duites:
- Manage a team of accounting employees
- Administer accounting and financial systems and maintain full and accurate accounting records
- Oversee the daily operations of accounting functions
- Examine accounting records, develop and maintain cost findings
- Prepare year-end financial statements for all associated companies
- Develop and oversee month end reporting process
- Assist with annual budgeting process
- Work with Controller, Islandsand Holdings
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Knowledge:
- 5-10 years of accounting experience
- 2-3 years of experience supervising, leading and motivating accounting staff preferred
- CPA designation preferred
- Knowledge of accounting systems, specifically Sage 300
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

- Location: Head office - Queen St. Charlottetown
- Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
