We are looking for an experienced Stone Installer to join our team at SSC. We are a local Stone and Surfacing manufacturer based in Burnaby BC. Most of our projects require the highest level of finishing and detail. We mainly work on custom homes but also service the commercial market. This person's main role will be to install stone, quartz and corian on countertops, fireplaces, showers and any other areas that require surfacing. The final product the customer receives is the responsibility of the ”Installer”.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Must have a strong attention to detail and a good understanding of finishing carpentry, millwork and construction

· Must have a great knowledge and understand of concepts such as: Level, plumb, square, flush etc

· Have experience managing the final quality of a product

· Have experience working in residential and commercial environments

· Display good tool control when using grinders and other tools to

work stone

· Experience and understanding in reading architectural and design drawings

· Experience using thinset

· Vast experience using all stone and woodworking tools

· Organised in the truck, on site and at the shop

· This person needs to be presentable to clients, designers, architects and builders

· Effectively communicate with the team of Project Mangagers, Fabricators and Production Managers

· Managing schedules to ensure the highest level of customer service, this includes communicating with general contractors, home owners, designers, architects, and engineers.

· Have an understanding of building systems, building science, commercial and residential construction practices, processes & techniques

· Takes pride in their work and the finished product they deliver
