Come join our fun and adventurous team! You will be working in a natural playground of rugged coastal mountains, rainforests and ocean. Spend your summer getting paid to be where others vacation!

Get to know us:

Moutcha Bay Resort is a remote destination dedicated to sustainable adventure tourism, located 2 hours west of Campbell River on Vancouver Island by road. We host guests from around the world and love to share our passion for saltwater sportfishing and other outdoor adventures.

Who you are:

• You have at least 2 years of professional cooking experience
• You have Food Safe Level 1 certification
• You have excellent organizational skills
• You are computer literate with a strong grasp of the Microsoft Office suite
• You can lift up to 30lbs and work while standing for prolonged periods
• You have a high standard for cleanliness and sanitation

What you’ll be doing:

• You'll be overseeing the staff culinary program (lunch and dinner) for up to 60 employees when the Staff Chef is away
• You'll prepare menu items using standard recipes in an efficient and timely manner
• You'll be cooking on line for an a-la-carte restaurant
  
• You'll be cleaning and sanitizing your work station, fridge, freezers, and dry storage
• You'll prepare ingredients, stock stations, and perform cleaning duties
  
• You'll ensure that standards for professionalism, timeliness, cleanliness and sanitation are upheld

Working with us:

This position has an anticipated start date of June 1 and end date of September 15, 2023. Contract length is subject to change based on the demands of the season.
