Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to determine overall condition
- Mount, change, or check condition and tire pressure
- Adjust vehicle components according to specifications
- Listen to engine, examine vehicle frames, or confer with customer to determine nature and extent of malfunction or damage.
- Replace defective parts, using hand tools, arbor, presses, or power tools.
- Replace worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts
- Repair non-engine vehicle components
- Repair or adjust vehicle sub-assemblies, transmissions, brakes, valves, according to specifications.
- Repair or replace other parts, such as headlights, handlebar controls, gas or oil tanks, starters or mufflers
- Install vehicle parts and accessories
- Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning
Requirements
- Experience servicing ATVs, snowmobiles and boats ( preferred )
- Extensive experience riding ATVs
- Detailed knowledge of ATV engines and systems
- Knowledge of methods used to identify mechanical issues
- Good time-management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to following all safety policies
- High school diploma or GED
