The Opportunity:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented, Shopify Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong ability to multi-task, is self-motivated and has a strong background working with Shopify. This is an in-office position at our main office in South Surrey, British Columbia.
The Responsibilities:
- Modify and update current website to incorporate new features and enhance UI/UX design
- Perform weekly site audits / testing
- Convert specifications and mock-ups into fully functional website solutions
- Integrate and test third-party Shopify applications
- Assist in SEO strategies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience working with a custom theme and/or Storefront API
- Expert-level understanding of Shopify’s Admin System, including shop creation, launch, and management
- Adequate knowledge of “Liquid” for Shopify Themes and Shopify Stores
- Proven experience working with Shopify’s storefront APIs and custom themes
- Experience working with third-party Shopify apps, including implementation, and debugging
- Working knowledge of AJAX, Meta fields, and other objects/properties within Shopify
- Proven experience building responsive layouts for mobile and web
- Understanding of various Shopify plugins as well as different third-party services and API connections
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices, research, and implementation
- Capability to communicate effectively and provide proactive feedback
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated to contribute to a high-performing team
