The Flight Operations Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining all administrative processes and tasks for the Flight Operations department.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage sensitive information in a confidential manner, using discretion and judgment in administering and handling projects involving financial, competitive and other critical and sensitive information.

  • First point of contact for all Crew members for administrative support and guidance

  • Edit, author and format Flight Operations Admin Guide

  • Facilitate and track Pilot headcount in accordance with monthly attrition

  • Create all Crew surveys for input and feedback on departmental changes and policies

  • Prepare Crew communications where necessary on behalf of VP, Flight Operations (announcements, events, procedural changes, etc.)

  • Manage and track Flight Ops Admin expense reports

  • Coordinate Pilot and Cabin Crew Wing Ceremonies and other events

  • Liaise with Chief Pilot regarding scheduling infractions, prolonged illnesses, etc. of Pilot group

  • Coordinate with CP all administrative duties regarding pilot upgrades, base relocation and LOAs

  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

  • Other duties and projects as approved by the Director, Flight Operations

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible with working hours, including the ability to travel

  • Ability to multitask and manage a team, including Administrators and Pilot Recruitment Administrators

  • Ability to build and maintain solid business relationships with key pilot recruitment partners

  • Embodies and exhibits the Porter values in everyday work

  • Post-Secondary education is considered an asset

  • Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
