Maintenance Supervisor – Airdrie, AB
We are recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Abrio Place in Airdrie AB.
Reporting to the Lodge Manager, this position involves preventative maintenance duties and general upkeep of a 94 room seniors’ lodge.
Responsibilities include:

Troubleshooting and performing minor repairs to plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems

Providing support for external contractors
-
General maintenance duties including painting, drywall repair, flooring, and moving furniture
-
Routine seasonal grounds work
-
Supervising a summer student
-
Active participation in health and safety program including being a member of the OH&S committee
-
Ensuring that services are provided with best practises and within regulations/standards
The successful candidate will:
-
Bring maintenance experience of 3 to 5 + years with boiler systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and renovations -
Be mechanically inclined and detail-oriented
-
Be able to prioritize work assignments
-
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels within an organization
-
Have excellent inter-personal skills
-
Have basic computer skills
-
Be flexible, able to work in a variety of environments, and available for emergency on call situations outside of regular hours

Have a strong physical capacity and endurance with the ability to lift 50 lbs
Applicants with a 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate will be given priority.
