Project Engineer Job at Trecan Combustion Limited
ABOUT US
Trecan Combustion Ltd. is a Canadian-owned company. For over 35 years, we have been designing and manufacturing Snowmelters. We export our product around the world to airports, cities, snow contractors and other customers.
Trecan’s technical history is steeped in combustion technology and thermal efficiency. Our Snowmelters are the most energy efficient available, due to our submerged combustion system. This method transfers heat energy from the combustion process to water and snow in the melting tank through direct contact.
Our products also include IT-enabled remote monitoring capability. For these reasons and more, our Snowmelters are considered “the industry standard”.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on engineering role in an industry-leading heavy equipment manufacturing company.
The Project Engineer’s primary responsibility is to ensure that their project deliverables are completed in a timely, accurate and professional manner. On any given day, you may be creating new product designs, making changes to existing designs, or working with our Production team to resolve issues arising during the fabrication and assembly process.
Our Project Engineers also guide our Purchasing team in identifying the right parts and materials for a given Snowmelter model.
At Trecan, our engineers are able to see their design work come to full fruition. This includes providing test plans to ensure that the finished product is shipped to the customer in good working order. They also provide expert support to our test team during final product testing, prior to shipment.
To support our Sales and Marketing professionals, the Project Engineer may also review the technical sections of quotations and other sales material to ensure accuracy.
In addition, our Project Engineers provide on-call customer support (on a rotational basis) during the snow season. This helps you to stay in touch with customer needs and priorities.
Trecan is also interested in learning more about hydrogen combustion, as well as codes and standards governing hydrogen use. If you happen to have experience with, or a keen interest in hydrogen energy, you may be doubly interested in working with us.
