Our Opportunity

We are happy to share with you that we have an exciting job opportunity available: permanent, full-time Tow Motor Operator in our Long Title Department on our day shift (Tuesday to Saturday 7:30 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.) at our Thorold Distribution Centre.

Main responsibilities:

• Working day (Tuesday to Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) shifts, as assigned, arriving on time and ready to work.
• Receives tasks in our computer processing system
• Picks product and brings to designated areas; puts away Long Title bins for storage
• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Working effectively and conscientiously with your team members and be flexible to complete book-handling tasks in various departments as required
• Upholding safe and lean work procedures in accordance with Book Depot’s Health and Safety Program
• Maintaining Book Depot Inc.’s standards, productivity and accuracy levels

Qualifications, skills and abilities:

• Completion of grade 12 education or equivalent
• Experience as forklift operator or similar role
• Positive attitude, punctual and strong work ethic; ability to work in a high-performing and fast-paced work environment
• Flexibility to work shifts as assigned, including: afternoons, Saturdays and holidays
• Comfort using computers for basics tasks
• Basic English communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong attention to detail, identifying and sharing continuous improvement opportunities
• Ability to work independently, while part of a team
