Junior Accountant Job at Bropak Inc.
BroPak Inc. is an expanding manufacturer of products supplying the food industry in North America. We are currently seeking a full-time interim Junior Accountant, on a 10-12 month contract basis to join our team.
This role will be based in Brantford, ON and will report to Accountant & HR Manager.
Please note: This contract position may be extended or a comparable/permanent position may be offered in order to meet business needs.
Qualifications
- QuickBooks: 1 year (Required)
- Office Administration: 1 year (Required)
- Secondary School (Required)
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Able to multi-task in a fast pace environment
- Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities
- Enter AR and AP invoices into system accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare, balance and complete cheque runs for various vendors
- Review, reconcile and ensure accuracy of employee timesheets
- Assist with inventory physical count and with management of office & manufacturing supply inventory levels
- Maintain various records, spreadsheets and documents
- Follow up with overdue accounts
- Assist in researching, tracking and resolving discrepancies
- Understand processes and recommend process improvements where applicable
- Respond in a timely manner to requests for information and other inquires
- Take initiative to follow-up on concerns and take action to provide resolution when possible
- Provide full administrative/hr support including photocopying, filing, faxing, scanning and etc.
- Prepare and maintain reports in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Act as a back-up for other administrative positions when required
- Assist with special projects
- Other duties relevant to the position will be assigned as required
